Origin

Speak to me in rhymes
So soulful and true
Move me with music
That goes deeper than you
Show me truth
Not talking about your version
I’m saying show me your truth
Something virgin
I know you got something to say
Something you want to show me
I don’t want your body
I want the mind that goes with it
I want the conspiracies
Wild theories
Your fears
Your most hated prejudices
Your doubts
Your dreams
Your justice
I want that connection
Not false attraction
I want your true self
Not what you think I want
Not what everyone has seen
Let me into that corner of your brain
You feel too dark to express
Let me in
And then i’ll undress

Secrets

You have a secret no one knows
Baby let it go
It’s killing you
And hurting your sweet soul

You

Tragedy

image

I could throw a glass
Cut myself
My tears could save me
Close up the scars
I’ve used yarn
But the wounds wouldn’t close
And the dry blood stained my clothes

Talented Introvert

image

The ink has stained my hands
I’ve spilled my truths
Curled my fingers into a permanent position
Fixed my face into a tortured expression
I’ve claimed to be an artist
A skilled poet
I’m married to this talent
That has slowly turned into an obsession
Turned my palm into a personal notepad
Writing down sorrows and expectations
I’m thankful for a pen and paper
They take weights off my shoulders
And boots off my chest

For Us

image

We had high hopes
Big dreams
We were going to do things
Take over the world type things ya know
We were going to be unstoppable
Then you had to go and fuck it up
With your doubts
Your insecurities
Your fears
You brought us down
And now your looking in the mirror
Waiting for me to pick you up again
Why ?
Do us a solid
And end it all
Just do it
For us

The Gap

image

We are a materialistic generation
We tend to our wants and ignore our needs
Feen over money while refusing to take care of ourselves properly
We stress because we worry about what’s not important
When we get what we want
We just want more
We’re children expecting the world to cater to us
We don’t know how to deal with unfairness
Whether we are neglected or babied
We are overwhelmingly unsure

10 PM

On nights like these I lay awake and think of well..
The tragedies of life.
For example
Why is that a mother can leave her new born baby in the trash
Or why do children get pushed to the point were they feel they have to kill other children.
It gets exhausting thinking of all these things
And even though I would like to think of myself as a happy and light spirited person
I am unbearably miserable.
And part is because of the tragedies
And the other is because of my own demons.
So as I lay in bed and attempt to cleanse my soul by praying to a god I hardly believe in.
I will ask for forgiveness and protection
For myself and others.
