The Grave

It leaves a salty taste in my mouth
Seeps between my teeth
A dark red when it spatters against my shirt
Sticky and wet on my skin
I can never seem to wash it all off
Or get the picture of it’s old inhabitant out of my mind
But the bodies don’t bother me
The screams don’t bother me
You bother me
With those eyes
The judging stare
You must be asking for it too
